Ron Meyers Workshop
Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1

Ron Meyers has been working in clay for over 30 years. He is an internationally known artist whose work is collected in the US and abroad. Meyers, who is retired from teaching ceramics at the University of Georgia describes his pottery as utilitarian. Meyer's draws on pots using a variety of colored slips. His work uses images of humorous figures of both humans and animals.
Ron
will show various throwing and altering techniques in making
functional shapes using a red earthenware clay. He will demonstrate
finishing and decorating the pieces using colored slips and stains.
Ron has a
Master's Degree in Art Education from Rochester Institute of Technology
for American Craftsmen.
