Summer 2026 Registration

Beginning WHEEL Classes:

Tuition includes:

• Open Studio time with 24/7 access to the studio
• One 25lb bag of clay provided
• Access to a variety of glazes and slips
• State of the art facility with onsite parking

• Tuition does not include firing fees

This 8-week class is designed for students who have never used the potter’s wheel and students who are still developing throwing skills. Participants will learn how to center the clay on the wheel and make basic forms such as mugs, bowls, and vases. Students will learn how to finish their work with decorating and glazing techniques. Many students will take this class more then once before moving on to an intermediate level class.

Clayworks reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment. Fees are 100% refundable if the class is canceled by Clayworks, 100% refundable up to two weeks (14 days) prior to the start of class, minus a $25 processing fee, if the student cancels. No refunds or tuition credits will be given with less than two weeks’ notice.

INTERMEDIATE WHEEL

Tuition includes:

• Open Studio time with 24/7 access to the studio
• One 25lb bag of clay provided
• Access to a variety of glazes and slips
• State of the art facility with onsite parking

• Tuition does not include firing fees

This 8-week class is designed for students who have completed beginning wheel class and want to improve their throwing skills. This class offers students the opportunity to create more complex vessels such as lidded jars, teapots and altered forms. Students will learn more complex decorating and glazing techniques. Students should know how to center, pull a handle, and throw a 6” cylinder to take an intermediate level class.

Advanced WHEEL

This 8-week advanced wheel class is designed for students who have good throwing skills and need space and time to work. Critiques will be an integral part of class. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace. Instructors will provide appropriate demonstrations for all students in the class. Surface techniques will be emphasized and expanded upon. You must have taken an intermediate level class prior to signing up for an advanced level class.
