Dusty Paws

On April 4, 2025, we said a heartfelt goodbye to our beloved Clayworks cat, Dusty Paws. Since arriving in 2015, Dusty quickly became more than just a studio pet, she became a cherished member of our family. Whether she was sunbathing in the courtyard, weaving gracefully between clay-covered tables, or curling up next to artists deep in their work, Dusty had a gift for making everyone feel at home. She greeted students, volunteers, and visitors with her gentle presence, often becoming the highlight of someone’s day.

As our mascot, muse, and constant companion, Dusty filled our space with a kind of love and comfort only a cat can provide. She was part of our story for a decade, and her absence is deeply felt. We are grateful for the joy Dusty brought to Clayworks and for the many lives she touched with her calm and curious spirit. Dusty Paws will always hold a special place in our hearts.
