Handbuilding

Tuition includes:

• Open Studio time with 24/7 access to the studio
• One 25lb bag of clay provided
• Access to a variety of glazes and slips
• Kiln firing of all work completed during the class session
• State of the art facility with onsite parking

This 8-week class is designed for students with advanced handbuilding skills and will focus on various handbuilding techniques. Participants will  create functional, beautifully designed objects. Pushing your vision and craftsmanship through to success with thoughtful considerations of color, contrast, scale, and technique.

Intermediate Handbuilding

Tuition includes:

• Open Studio time with 24/7 access to the studio
• One 25lb bag of clay provided
• Access to a variety of glazes and slips
• Kiln firing of all work completed during the class session
• State of the art facility with onsite parking

This 10-week class is designed for students who have completed the beginning clay class and are at an intermediate level.  Classes will focus on more  complex handbuilding techniques and surface techniques.

This class will be offered in Fall 2019

 

Beginning Handbuilding

Tuition includes:

• Open Studio time with 24/7 access to the studio
• One 25lb bag of clay provided
• Access to a variety of glazes and slips
• Kiln firing of all work completed during the class session
• State of the art facility with onsite parking

This 6-week class is designed for adults that have no prior experience. Students will learn basic handbuilding techniques and surface treatments to works created.

This class will be offered again in the Fall 2019

 

This 8-week class is designed for adult students with developmental disabilities and for high school age home schoolers. No previous experience necessary. Students will explore basic handbuilding techniques as well learn various decorating and glazing techniques.

Refund Policy: Clayworks reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment.  Fees are 100% refundable if the class is canceled by Clayworks, 85% refundable up to one week prior to the start of class if the student cancels. There are no refunds or tuition credits after the start of class.
