James Cradit
James Cradit is an artist and designer whose work focuses primarily on ceramics, oil painting, and jewelry. Trained in Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), he brings an eye for form and detail to his work.
In the studio, James often works with atmospheric firings, like raku or gas, that highlight the role of chance in the making process. His work leans sculptural and non-functional, favoring unique forms and tactile surfaces.
James is also a full time UX design lead in the healthcare industry, specializing in complex workflows for pharmacy and enterprise systems.
He is always happy to help answer questions about making, firing, talking through design ideas, or simply helping someone feel more at home in the studio. Feel free to say hello anytime!
