Rae specializes in the sgraffito technique of incising images on porcelain pieces. Childhood interests in art were sidetracked by both BS and MBA degrees, which led to many years of working as a marketing communications professional in the textile industry in New York City. Rae’s work brought her to Charlotte in 1997 where she enrolled in classes at Clayworks and developed a passion for clay.
